We are in the beautiful, warm months of spring and summer. This is a good time to take a moment to review again what appropriate dress is for Mass. This is especially important for those in Liturgical Ministry roles— Readers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and others. The Catholic Church does not have a written dress code for attending Holy Mass. However, there is an unwritten dress code that demands proper dressing when being in the Real Presence of the Lord Jesus. The faithful are encouraged to wear any modest fashion that is befitting for the House of God. A simple rule of thumb: Imagine standing before Jesus in what it is you want to wear.
