On Thursday, October 27th, our faith formation students and some parishioners took a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse. The trip was a tremendous success! The group visited the Mother of Good Counsel Votive Candle Chapel on the way up to the shrine church, where Fr. Michael lit a candle and led a prayer for the people of St. Patrick. The students learned about the statues on the hill leading up to the church, and prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at the Memorial to the Unborn before Mass. Fr. Michael concelebrated the noon Mass, and after Mass, everyone enjoyed learning about the shrine church from our private guide. First class relics of St. Therese, St. Peregrine, St. Faustina, St. Gianna, and more were able to be venerated by the group. Fr. Michael also led the students in the Stations of the Cross before departing the shrine. The bus trip concluded with the Rosary, with children leading the decades. It was a beautiful, holy experience for all!
