Last year, my son Peter Yanke, 17, and I decided to step out of our comfort zone and go on a mission trip to El Salvador to provide medical care and humanitarian aid to the poor. We served over 1,600 people in one week, and it was a life changing experience for us and the members of our mission team. As Christians, we are called to serve the poor. Clearly, not all are called to the same type of work though. Some are called to be the hands and feet of Christ on the ground, while others may be called to help support through prayer or financially. We need to raise funds to include not only our mission fees, but also for the thousands of dollars of medicine and supplies that we bring to serve the people. Please pray about whether you feel called to assist through prayer or financially. Donations can be given to Jill Yanke or sent to Our Lady of Hope Clinic, 6425 Odana Road, Ste. 13, Madison WI 53719. Checks can be made out to Helping Hands Medical Missions. Thank you for prayerfully considering this request.
